Easter

Brekk had enough...it was nap time!
Mac doing her usual pose...we aren't sure where she got this crossing her arms thing!
No smiles from the boy though!
Mac coloring eggs and Brekk getting ready to spill them...and he did!
Mackena had fun frosting the easter cookies. She really loved EATING the frosting!
We hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter celebrating the Resurrection of our Savior. It is such an important day that often gets overlooked or replaced with bunnies and treats. I actually found an amazing board book for the kids that talks about celebrating Jesus at Easter. It doesn't say we shouldn't color eggs, hunt for our Easter basket, etc., but they talk about doing those things and relate it to Jesus being our everything. Mac loves the book and now when she looks at the Easter eggs she colored she says "I colored those eggs and Jesus colors my world!"...so sweet! It was a fabulous day for us! Even though Andy had to work in the afternoon, we were still able to go to church as a family which was great. The rest of the day was pretty low key but very relaxing which was nice for a change. Andy's parents came to visit Saturday and my parents came to see us Sunday evening so that I didn't have to travel with the kids by myself AGAIN. With Andy's profession, holidays are always difficult and it gets hard trying to go everywhere without him. That's why we just decided to stay home and be together as our own little family this year. Mackena had so much fun getting ready for Easter by coloring eggs, making cookies, and of course getting her new dress. She always loves when she gets a chance to bake...we have so much fun! Overall we had an amazing day only wishing that Andy could have spent the entire day at home!
